A new dish in Balkon’s menu - Dim Sam.
Dim Sam is one of the main dishes of Cantonese cuisine which perfectly fits into the rapid tempo of the life of the metropolis. According to one version Dim Sam’s origin is China, where the dish has being cooked for more than 2600 years.
The shape of Dim Sam resembles Russian dumplings where a small portion of the filling is hidden in the dough. Actually, this is the only Cantonese Dim Sam’s similarity with the dumplings.
In contrast Dim Sam has never been the main dish, it's rather a light snack for tea at work.
"Dim Sam" is believed to be translated from Chinese as "to touch the heart," "to spark the soul." Choose Dim Sam with beef, shrimp, salmon or chicken.
